In May of 2017, I had the distinct honor and privilege of becoming the President of First Protective Insurance Group. Ever since, I have been incredibly fortunate to have worked with the finest group of financial professionals, distribution associates, insurance carriers and agency teammates in the industry. I’m very proud of what we have accomplished together over the last four years, and I have never been more optimistic about the future.
We recently shared some exciting news about First Protective, ProEquities and Protective Distributors. Beginning July 19, we will come together as Concourse Financial Group, enabling us to take our insurance and investment solutions to even higher levels going forward.
As we architected Concourse and the new capabilities it will bring, I made the very difficult decision to retire on December 31, 2021. My wife Shari and I have been contemplating lake living for some time, and for a variety of personal and family reasons, we know that the timing is right to begin this transition now.
As much as I hate the thought of leaving First Protective, I will always consider myself a member of the First Protective family, and I am certain that the organization is in very good hands. The same great team you’ve relied on for solutions, support and service at First Protective will continue to serve you under the Concourse banner, and you’ll have the additional benefit of being a part of the Concourse Financial Group led by:
- Doyle Williams, Chief Executive Officer
- David Perry, Chief Operations Officer
- Darren Guerrera, Chief Financial Officer
- Libet Anderson, President of Investment Solutions
- Brad Mendenhall, President of Insurance Solutions
I’ll be working very closely with the Concourse leadership team for the balance of the year as we execute our strategy and fully implement the new organization. I’ll be collaborating particularly closely with Brad Mendenhall as he takes leadership of the insurance organization you’ve known as First Protective in the past, and I look forward to introducing him to you soon.
I can never thank you enough for your business, your collaboration and friendship over the years.
